Obie Gets Vulnerable on “No Love Songs”

“No Love Songs” is a song about a relationship that has faltered as Obie reflects on everything that’s gone wrong. He admits fault for most of the stuff that’s gone awry, but also admits that both people involved have a share of the blame. The vocals are haunting in a way, as they feature Auto-Tuned effects and echoes–as if Obie is truly alone with his thoughts after the end of the relationship. He knows that he “never should’ve gotten the key” to this other person’s heart (mainly because he’s not the best man he could be). It’s a track that’s brutally honest, so I have to recommend it.
