I enjoyed listening to this one because of its story. The song is about someone wanting their partner to open up and know they’ve got a real one and a confidant in him. I also love the vocals, as they remind me a bit of 2000s R&B with a hint of modern sensibilities in there–especially on the second verse. The entire track is one that deserves a listen, if only to see what Quincy’s gone through with his partner in love and how he wants them to open up and let him in. I’ve been there, which is probably another reason why I really like “Just Who We Are.” It’s a thoughtful song, so check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
