A remix of Anakin’s Frank-featured track, the “No Dough” remix is breezy and soulful. It highlights his lyrics in a way only Madlib can. I can’t say anything but “this is effin’ fire.” I mean, the original’s dope too. However, for me, it’s taken to a new level with the Madlib beat. Fly Anakin is one of those artists who hardly ever misses and when he does, it’s still better than 89.7% of some rappers’ best works. If you haven’t heard Frank, you need to if you call yourself a purveyor of indie rap. Heck, even if you don’t, the album’s fire (and linked above).
