Marshall Vincent Presents the Emotional “ETI”

Taking a page from serpentwithfeet and Frank Ocean’s books, “ETI” is a very deep track with airy-but-heavy vocals. The song, short for “emotionally transmitted infection,” is quite tongue-in-cheek in its approach. It speaks on how some people give us the feels, but in the wrong ways. We end up “sick” with an ETI and we try to get rid of it through caring for ourselve.

It also presents a “narrative around love, trust and power in pain,” like Marshall’s upcoming songs will do. Sonically, it sounds like serpentwithfeet mixed with 2000s R&B. That’s mainly because of the vocals but also because of the presentation of the whole thing. Check out the beautiful song below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
