SondayMonday Presents “Peyton Manning”

Above, we’ve got the latest from indie singer/songwriter/rapper SondayMonday. “Peyton Manning” is a combination of sh*t-talking about wins, somewhat conscious bars about the area he’s from and a lot of melodic rapping. Usually, I don’t post melodic rap; it’s not really my wheelhouse. However, there was something about the calm and calming nature of SM’s vocals that brought me into the track. It’s kind of like trapsoul for fans of The Weeknd. It has a lot of self-reflection mixed in with the sh*t-talking, so you get to know the artist a bit better as well.

Naming a track after one of the GOATs is a risky thing. However, I think I get why SM did it. Manning threw bombs, SM’s hitters throw bombs and this track is, well, bomb (in the sense that it’s damned good and ready to explode in your ears). Check it out and support dope music in all its forms.
