Caviar Dreams: The Revival of the No-Fi King Cover and Track List

We’re about two months out from the release of my collaborative effort with Benji Armstrong, Caviar Dreams: The Revival of the No-Fi King. Here’s the official release of the cover art that’s been circulating over on Twitter and IG the last few weeks. It’s a departure from your typical SOTB cover art, as it’s a lot more colorful, vibrant even. While the cover features the Brothers Speed as many an SOTB cover before it, I’m a firm believer in “the children are our future.” That said, even if they never pick up a mic to record, they’re my legacy, the next in line–so I’ve adorned them both with crowns.

It’s also high time to reveal the tracklist for this effort for both the standard DSP version and the Deluxe Edition on Bandcamp. As I mentioned on other platforms, songs from the Deluxe Edition will be released on other DSPs in 2021 as part of a project called For My Nerdy Individuals Getting Gold After Sunrise (or For My NIGGAS). That project continues the energies given on Caviar Dreams and adds a nerdy component to them, as each song is named after a JRPG of some sort.

Each song on this collaborative project was important to me and needed from in order to get my vision out there. I spoke with Benji a few times to get things just right for what I wanted to do. It wasn’t just him giving me beats and saying “have at it.” He’s a great mind when it comes to boosting levels on certain tracks, plus he’s a helluva producer. In those discussions, Benji and I were also able to bounce ideas off of each other as well as just grow as people. As this was my first project produced completely by someone other than myself, it was an interesting experience and one that I’d definitely do again.

While many of these tracks were recorded in the months leading up to the Presidential Debates and all of those shenanigans, they still have a timeless approach to them in terms of their subject matter. At least I’d like to think so. I said that this project is something like my Victory Lap, in that its realness seeps through and I’m trying to impart my wisdom to the next generation the best I can while staying true to who I am as an artist and a person. I hope you enjoy it when it drops.

So without further ado, here’s the standard edition’s track list:

  1. I Guess I Lied (Intro)
  2. Caviar Dreams
  3. New Niggas
  4. All My Life
  5. The Real Outlasts
  6. Baka Ga Kirai
  7. The Power
  8. Lemme Rap My Soul Interlude
  9. Letter to My Children
  10. A Long Time (Outro)

And here’s the track list for the Bandcamp Edition, which contains songs from the For My NIGGAS project due out on all DSPs in 2021:

  1. I Guess I Lied (Intro)
  2. Caviar Dreams
  3. New Niggas
  4. All My Life
  5. The Real Outlasts
  6. Baka Ga Kirai
  7. The Power
  8. Lemme Rap My Soul Interlude
  9. Letter to My Children
  10. A Long Time
  11. Another Eden
  12. Xeno
  13. Smash Bros.
  14. Persona

If you’re still on the fence about this one, know that it’s a continuance of the “New Era” that I’ve embraced since 2019’s Baltimore Commercial Break 2. If you liked that or any of the projects I’ve dropped between then and now, this one’ll be another collection for your ears. December 4th can’t come soon enough.
