I’m a bit late on this one, since Bailey dropped it in early October. However, I’m taking today to catch up on some projects I missed while finishing up Caviar Dreams: The Revival of the No-Fi King and For My N.I.G.G.A.S. I mean, things could go either way today. We might as well live with no regrets.
Overall, this one is a different type of vibe from Bailey.
He’s rapping rapping, like usual. He’s giving us mental health bars, as usual. However, there’s also a sense of confidence in his music and his stuff that wasn’t present on earlier tracks. Additionally, his beat selection here? Top notch, as we get sped-up samples, boombap-like beats, and 2020 hip-hop beats all in one. The thing is this: he switches so effortlessly regarding his flows and subject matter. This is definitely a great project, one that I’m mad at myself for missing out on until now.
The guest spots, from Bill Carl Boomer to Vlad, give an additional level of gravitas to this one. It’s a special project, one that shows Bailey’s growth and maturation over the last four or so years. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
